Lucille Hudlow Purdy, 81, of the 3100 block of Herbert St., a retired clerk, went to be with the Lord on July 2, 1994. She died in her residence.
Mrs. Purdy was born in Augusta County, Va. She retired from W.T. Grants, was a member of Bethany Freewill Baptist Church in Norfolk and the widow of Edward Lee Purdy.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce L. Albert of Chesapeake; two sons, Bobby Lee Purdy and C.D. Purdy, both of Norfolk; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Rita F. Purdy of Norfolk; and a son-in-law, Allen P. Cherry of Chesapeake.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Smith and Williams Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday.
