A 25-ton pedestrian bridge was raised Saturday between Main Street Tower and the Marriott Hotel parking garage.
At the corner of Main and Atlantic streets, a small group of spectators and workers gathered to watch the event.
The 65-foot-long, white-framed bridge spans Atlantic Street, providing a third-floor walkway between the two downtown buildings. The bridge will boast glass windows when it is completed.
No traffic problems were reported during the bridge-raising. by CNB
