James Radolph Forehand Sr., 65, of Highway 137, died Sunday, July 3, 1994, in Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
Mr. Forehand was born in Gates County. A retired master sergeant, he had served with the U.S. Air Force for 22 1/2 years and was a veteran of both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He also retired from Planters in Suffolk as a supervisor and formerly worked with Nansemond Cold Storage Co., also in Suffolk. He was a member of the Suffolk Moose Lodge 141 and attended Eure Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Patsy Rountree Forehand; one daughter, Deborah Elizabeth Forehand of Raleigh; three sons, James Radolph Forehand Jr. of Harrellsville, Randolph M. Forehand of Whaleyville, Va. and Tommy E. Forehand of Hobbsville; one sister, Eunice Moore of Suffolk and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Eure Baptist Church by the Rev. Wayne Whiting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, in charge of arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence.
