I would like to make a short and heartfelt comment regarding Larry Maddry's June 26 column.
Despite the ancient, yet still surviving notions that ``Real men don't cry'' or that ``Real men don't show their true feelings,'' or even that ``Real men should put women in their place,'' Mr. Maddry has shown the type of thinking, attitude and emotion that truly defines a ``real man.''
Perhaps if more of us were as expressive as Mr. Maddry, those ancient notions about real men might be heard no more and the true real men - those who have and show emotion, respect women, and are sickened by domestic violence - could take their rightful place in society.
