Docia Lee Threatt Bell, 101, died July 4, 1994.
She was a native of Lancaster, S.C., and was a homemaker. She was the oldest member of Camp Creek United Methodist Church in Lancaster, where she was active for 60 years until she was 95.
She is survived by six daughters, Pauline Williams, Erma Henry, Dorothy Hardin, and Ernestine Couch, all of Lancaster, S.C., Mary Norman of Virginia Beach, and Sara Lundie of Newport News; one son, Dan Blackmon of Danville, Va.; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Camp Creek United Methodist Church, Lancaster, S.C. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Mahaffey Funeral Home, Lancaster, today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 20 Koger Executive Center, Norfolk, Va. Umphlett Funeral Home, Newport News, is handling the local arrangements.
