ELEANOR H. PARKER

Eleanor Hardaway Parker, 83, of the 700 block of Jones Street, died July 2, 1994. She was the wife of Binford E. Parker Sr.

Mrs. Parker was a native of Richmond and graduated from Westhampton College with a B.A. in French and English. She formerly taught at Suffolk High School. She was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church, where she taught the Young Adult class for many years and had served on the Board of Stewards. She was a member and past president of Suffolk Book Club and Riverview Garden Club.

Other survivors include a daughter, Eleanor P. Mason of Gloucester; two sons, Binford E. Parker Jr. of Suffolk, and Gordon Edward Parker of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Main Street United Methodist Church by the Rev. Alan Felumlee. Graveside services will be private. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad or the Memorial Fund of Main Street United Methodist Church.
