Effie I. Sandifer, 75, of the 2500 block of Virginia Beach Blvd., died July 3, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Sandifer was born in Old Fort, N.C. She was a member of Women's Chapter, Aragona Moose Lodge (NU)1198 and life member of Women's Chapter, Veterans of Foreign Wars (NU)392, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis L. Sandifer; two daughters, Evelyn Stephens of New Bern, N.C., and Louise Hornback of Black Mountain, N.C.; two sons, Jackie Morris of Black Mountain and Martin Morris of Candler, N.C.; three sisters, Ethel Morris and Edith Allison, both of Black Mountain, and Dot Kennedy of Buchannan, Va.; one brother, O.E. ``Bud'' Hudgins of Peabody, Mass.; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. Melvin J. Hughes. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
