Oscar Mack Dozier Sr., 83, of the 500 block of Princess Anne Road, a retired lead man and supervisor, died July 3, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Dozier was born in Camden, N.C., and was a Presbyterian. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Princess Anne Masonic Lodge (NU)25 and Virginia Beach Shrine Club and had been formerly active with Creeds Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Elizabeth Wilson Dozier; two daughters, Leona D. Cason and Jennie Lee D. Cason, both of Virginia Beach; three sons, Edgar Leo Dozier, Oscar M. Dozier Jr. and James Alton Dozier, all of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Daisy Gilbert and Sarah Stevenson, both of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Joseph Brewer. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home and at the residence at other times. Memorial donations may be made to Princess Anne Masonic Lodge (NU)25.
