Maxine Alice Owens, 87, of the 8600 block of Morwin St., died July 4, 1994, in her daughter's residence.
Mrs. Owens was born in Norfolk and was the widow of Robert Edward Owens. She was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church and the Ruth Bible Class.
Survivors include one daughter, Patsy Klemstine of Norfolk; one sister, Rosaline Jennings of Norfolk; one brother, Walter C. Joynes Jr. of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2p.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. John D. Sykes Sr. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Following the services the family will be at 9315 Willow Terrace, Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
