MORRIS E. SCOTT SR.

Morris Edward Scott Sr., of the 500 block of Louisa St., departed this life on July 3, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

He was born in Norfolk County and was the widower of Pauline Baker Scott. He as an active member of St. Mark United church of Christ, Berkley, the No. 2 Choir and the No. 2 Choir Union.

He leaves to mourn his loss seven children, Morris Jr. of Chesapeake, Emmett of Conetoe, N.C., Reuben of Norfolk, Randolph of Charlotte, N.C., Vivian Cobb of Durham, N.C., Laura Scott and Ruth Norrell of Richmond. He leaves one brother, James Scott of Norfolk; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Also, he leaves one son-in-law and two daughters-in-law. Additionally, he leaves 7 stepchildren, including one with whom he made his home, Geraldine Baker.

The funeral will be held at St. Mark United Church of Christ in the Berkley section of Norfolk on Wednesday, July 6, 1994, at 1 p.m. The Rev. Thomas Hart will officiate and Fitchett Funeral Home will be in charge. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family may be reached at 534 Louisa St., Norfolk.
