Mrs. Virginia Rogers Garnett, 93, of 144 Grace St., Chase City, died Tuesday, July 5, 1994 at her residence.
She was the widow of George Lenwood Garnett and was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Virginia Garnett Wood and a son, Douglas Rogers Garnett. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Chase City.
Mrs. Garnett is survived by a daughter, Betty G. Quible and husband, F. Richard Quible of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; a grandson, Michael A. Garnett of Norfolk; and one sister, Sadie McNess Rogers of Chase City.
Friends may call at Mrs. Garnett's home on Grace Street or at Wood Funeral Service, Chase City. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, in Woodland Cemetery with the Rev. Robert E. Jordan officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Chase City Volunteer Rescue Squad or First Baptist Church, Chase City.
