JOHN T. EVANS

John Thomas ``John-John'' Evans, 20, of the 1300 block of Green St., died July 2, 1994, in Maryview Medical Center.

Mr. Evans was born in Portsmouth and was a member of Philadelphia Church of Christ in Chesapeake.

Survivors include three daughters, Brittany Smith, Shaquita Rylands and Michelle Deloatch; one son, Corey Johnson; his mother, Peggy Sharon Evans; two sisters, Sheila L. Evans and Cherise M. Evans; maternal grandfather, John T. Smith; and paternal grandparents, Rufus and Vertee Riddick, all of Portsmouth; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and a devoted friend, Yevette Grays. He was predeceased by his father, William Jerry Evans.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in The First Church of Deliverance II, Portsmouth, by the Rev. E.M. Sexton. Burial will be in Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Friday. The family will be at the home of his mother, Peggy S. Evans, 1611 Charleston Ave., and will assemble there for the funeral service.
