Samuel Weinstein, 89, of the first block of Crawford Parkway, a retired businessman, beloved husband and father, died July 6, 1994, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Weinstein, a native of Baltimore, was retired after 25 years. He was a member of Gomley Chesed Synagogue, Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Goldman Weinstein; two sons and their wives, Bentley and Stephanie Weinstein of Baltimore and Richard L. and Leah Weinstein of Lafayette, Calif.; three grandchildren, Amy Peterson, Emily Weinstein and David Weinstein; two stepgrandchildren, Beth Katz and Kimberly Gilbert; and one great-grandchild, Sarah Peterson.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Gomley Chesed Cemetery by Rabbi Philip S. Krohn. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial doantions may be made to a favorite charity.
