James Johnson of the 2500 block of Leroy Drive, died July 5, 1994, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Mr. Johnson was born in Princess Anne County. He was a member of Mount Zion AME Church, Virginia Beach, and was Protemp of the Steward Board.
Survivors include his wife, Rosetta Johnson; three daughters, Vanessa Johnson, L. Beth Johnson and Shirley Johnson, all of Virginia Beach; three sons, Dwight Johnson, James J. Johnson and Howard Johnson, all of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Carrie Lynch of Virginia Beach and Lillian Rome of Philadelphia; one brother, Lee E. Johnson of Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Mount Zion AME Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Larry S. Hinton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, is handling arrangements.
