A 17-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday in connection with the June 30 slaying of Jormel Dennis.
Because of his age, police did not identify the youth. He is charged with murder, three counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and three counts of attempted robbery.
Dennis, of the 1800 block of Newton Road, was found on the ground at Demetro Drive and Newton Road. Wounded once by a gunshot, he was thought to be the victim of a robbery attempt.
Police said they are looking for a second suspect.
