Arthur Thomas Bowden, 75, died July 6, 1994.
Mr. Bowden was born in Chincoteague and was retired from the Coast Guard. He was a member of Union Baptist Church, Accomack Lodge (NU)243 and the Kiwanis Club. He lived in Norfolk from 1940 to 1967 and was a member of Larchmont Baptist Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Bowden; one son, Leonard Bowden of Schenectady, N.Y.; two brothers, Paul Bowden Jr. of Chincoteague and Norman Bowden of Wattsville; and one grandchild.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. today in Union Baptist Church with the Rev. William Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Modest Town Cemetery. Salyer Funeral Home is in charge.
