A 36-year-old man was found stabbed to death Thursday after police were initially told he had fallen. A 31-year-old woman has been charged in his death.
The name of the victim was not being released until relatives could be notified.
The suspect is Jacqueline Juanita Garcia McKenzie of the 400 block of Craig St. She was being held in the City Jail Thursday night on a charge of murder.
Police and paramedics were called to the 3100 block of Vimey Ridge Ave. about 3:20 p.m. Thursday. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motive for the slaying was not clear.
