Danny O'Neal Barnes Sr., 48, an accountant, died July 7, 1994, in DePaul Medical Center, Norfolk.
Mr. Barnes was born in Bertie County, N.C., and was a member of Great Fork Baptist Church, Suffolk. He was employed with G.P. Jackson Inc., Suffolk.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Pierpont of Richmond; one son, Danny O'Neal Barnes Jr. of Richmond; four sisters; four brothers; and one grandchild, Christopher Logan Pierpont of Richmond.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by Chaplain R. Eric Jewett. Burial will be in Stoney Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at the home of Mrs. Judy Jones, 3245 U.S. Highway 13 N., Powellsville, N.C.
