A six-car accident in the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel injured two and kept traffic at a standstill for half an hour Friday morning.
The accident occurred around 9:50 a.m. on westbound Interstate 64, a state police spokeswoman said.
Andres Polante, 74, and his 71-year-old wife, Thomasa, both of Virginia Beach, were taken by rescue crews to Sentara Hampton General Hospital, where they were treated for minor back and neck injuries.
Three drivers were charged with following too closely.
