WILLIAM E. RAY

Mr. William E. Ray, 91, of Huntington, W.Va., formerly of Portsmouth, Va., died Sunday, July 10, 1994, in Rock Hill, S.C.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 1994, at the Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel, Barboursville, by the Rev. Lloyd Peters. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born Dec. 1, 1902 in Huntington, a son of the late William E. and Arrahana Harrison Ray Sr. He was retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

He is survived by a loving and caring niece, Jeannine Overstreet, who took care of Mr. Ray for a number of years. He is also survived by nieces, Sherry Baumgardner of Naples, Fla., Judy Spalding of Dresden, Germany, Debra France Jones of France, Katherine Davis of Dayton, Ohio and Bernice Powers of Huntington; nephews, Eric France of Mason, Ohio, and Howard Powers of Huntington. Friends may call Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
