Stanley Lacelle Powers, 76, of the 400 block of Ballahack Road, died Saturday, July 9, 1994, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Powers was the son of the late Lawson and Minnie Begor Powers and the husband of Thelma Tebault Powers of the home.
He was retired as a self-employed farmer, a member and trustee of Northwest Baptist Church and a member of the Farm Bureau.
Survivors include two daughters, Rebbecca Mince and Roxanna Harris, both of Chesapeake; a brother, Eugene E. Powers of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted on Tuesday, July 12, 1994, at 11 a.m. in Twiford Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake, with Dr. John Transu and Rev. Jim Davenport officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the residence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northwest Baptist Church, c/o Northwest Post Office, Chesapeake, Va. 23323, Hope Haven Children's Home or your favorite charity.
