HARRY B. ROBERTS

Harry Bernard Roberts, 69, of the 4300 block of Fontana Ave., died July 11, 1994, in Portsmouth.

Mr. Roberts was born in Columbus, Ga. He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years and from civil service at NOB after 10 years. He was a member of Alamo Masonic Lodge (NU)44 of San Antonio, Texas, and was a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea.

Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn A. Roberts; three sons and their wives, Fred and Katie Roberts of Pelzer, S.C., Emmo and Vicki Roberts of Mount Jackson, Va., and Eugene and Debbie Roberts of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Winston Roberts of Columbus, Ga., Donald Roberts of Midland, Ga., and Bryant Roberts of Smith, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. George Boyd. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Military honors will be accorded at the graveside.
