Angelo Michael ``Mike'' Sarlo, 87, of the 1600 block of Wapiti Ave., a retired civil service employee, died July 11, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mr. Sarlo was born in Philadelphia and was retired from the Armed Forces Staff College. He was the widower of Helen E. Sarlo. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church for 67 years, BPOE Norfolk Lodge (NU)38, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge (NU)39 in Norfolk.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Hairston of Budd Lake, N.J.; one sister, Mildred Scotti of Philadelphia; one granddaughter, Susan H. Galloway of Virginia Beach; and four grandsons, Christopher Hairston of Arlington, Va., Patrick Hairston of Norfolk, Dominic Hairston of Virginia Beach and Anthony Hairston of Tallahassee, Fla.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Father Lou Ruoff. Elks rites will be accorded at the graveside. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Norfolk Elks Lodge (NU)38-Boys Camp Committee.
