Alvin L. Ackiss Sr., 50, of the 800 block of Shadowood Lane, died July 10, 1994, in his residence.
Mr. Ackiss was born in Richmond. He worked in the delivery department of Keebler Cookie Co.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jeanette Watkins Ackiss; two daughters, Vicki Bresnahan of Seattle and Michelle McCaa of Norfolk; two sons, Mark Stevens of Virginia Beach and Alvin L. Ackiss Jr. of Wilmington, N.C.; his mother, Eva Dudley Ackiss of Chesapeake; three sisters, Margie Miller of Chesapeake, Shirley Stark of Norfolk and Lucille Myers of Franklin; one brother, Russell D. Ackiss Jr. of Norfolk; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. Burial will be private.
