Virginia Beach businessman R. Alan Fuentes avoided Chapter 7 liquidation, at least temporarily, in Bankruptcy Court on Tuesday.
A trustee overseeing his case had asked the judge to force Fuentes into liquidation, saying Fuentes has no business to reorganize. The former owner of Computer Dynamics Inc. is now in Chapter 11 reorganization.
Instead, Judge Hal J. Bonney Jr. ordered Fuentes and the trustee to file reorganization plans by Aug. 31. Then, the plans can be accepted or rejected by Fuentes' creditors.
If there is still no acceptable plan, the judge could force Fuentes into liquidation. by CNB
