During the next few months, Norfolk and some of its people and attractions may pop up on NBC-TV.
A segment featuring Bob, Kay and Skye Zentz of Ramblin' Conrad's aired July 5 on ``The Today Show.'' While playing ``homemade music . . . Virginia-style,'' the Zentzes said they watch the show each morning.
The promotion is part of the show's ``What a difference Today makes'' campaign. In mid-May a crew from ``The Today Show'' visited Norfolk for two days and taped 24 spots from such attractions as Waterside, the Ocean View Beach Festival, Nauticus, Spirit of Norfolk and the Stockley Gardens Art Show.
On Tuesday, Norfolk's Al Doumar and his ice cream cone-making machine appeared. On Monday, a ``man on the street'' segment from Norfolk is set to air, according to Amy Jonak, communications manager for the Norfolk Convention and Visitors Bureau.
More segments could appear later this summer, Jonak said. by CNB
