For the first time in at least four years, we have a president working for the American people, earning the money he's being paid. His response to critics is a call to arms to those of us who appreciate his labor. Those cynics are non-workers, all.
Rush Limbaugh has never, never put in a hard day's work, yet he's obviously not missed a meal. The fact that this guy is listened to mystifies me.
Then there's Jerry Falwell, who gets on his pulpit, talks a little about Jesus, then says, ``Send money.''
What work has President Clinton done? Six percent unemployment, the best economy in decades, NAFTA passed, and the most productive year for Congress and the president since Eisenhower. . . . Plus, we have in the works major initiatives in the areas of welfare and health care. This is progress, not stagnation as the cynics would claim.
I say to President Clinton: Keep up the good work. And to the cynics: Get a job!
