GERTIE MAE RIDDICK

Gertie Mae Riddick, 70, of the 1200 block of Fentress Road, died July 13, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mrs. Riddick was born in Weeksville, N.C. She was a member of Centerville AME Church, Chesapeake, where she served as a Senior Usher and was a member of the Missionary Circle, Senior Choir, Stewardess Board and Booster Club.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Riddick; four daughters, Alice L. Cuffee, Nora Hinton, Phyllis A. Sears, of Chesapeake and Lynette E. Riddick of Richmond; four sons, Woodrow Cuffee Jr. of Sicklerville, N.J., Cleartis Cuffee, Willie D. Riddick of Chesapeake and the Rev. Dwight Riddick of Hampton; three sisters, Maxine Price, Lillie Bell Poyner of Elizabeth City and Florida Waldburg of Stone Mountain, Ga.; two brothers, Thomas Felton of Weeksville, N.C., and Earnest Felton of Mount Vernon, N.Y.; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two uncles, Bryant Evans of Chesapeake and William Evans of Weeksville.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Centerville AME Church by the Rev. Richard Walker Jr. and the Rev. Dwight Riddick. Burial will be in Centerville AME Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. The body will be placed in church at 11 a.m.
