Lynwood Earl ``Buddy'' Potts, 69, formerly of Virginia, died Tuesday in Mulberry.
He was retired from the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou Potts; three sons, Lawrence R. Potts and Robert E. Potts of Novato, Calif., and Ronald Potts of Knotts Island, N.C.; and one sister, Frances Andrews of Gloucester, Va.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Clinton, N.C. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home, Clinton, N.C.
