Albert Dempsey Wheeler, 76, of the 600 block of Oakley Ave., a retired carpenter, died July 14, 1994, in his residence.
Mr. Wheeler was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Alice Long of Seaboard; one stepson, William Millwood of Hertford; three sisters, Annie Bell Branch and Marilyn Davis, both of Gaston, and Winnie Tripp of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; two brothers, Walter Wheeler of Roanoke Rapids and Robert Wheeler of Ellicott City, Md.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Victory Baptist Church by the Rev. Rob Madden. Burial will be in Cedarwood Cemetery. Branch Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
