Carole Lea McLean, 59, of Black Creek Road, died Thursday, July 14, 1994.
Mrs. McLean was a native of Rose Hill, N.C., and was retired from the insurance department of Southampton Memorial Hospital. She attended Buckhorn Baptist Church, Como, N.C.
Survivors include her husband, William Harvey McLean; one daughter, Ginger L. Edwards of Franklin; four sons, Kreg Scott of Atlantic City, N.J., Carroll T. Scott of Richmond, Charles E. Lee Jr. and David I. Lee, both of Franklin; a stepdaughter, Melanie G. McLean, and a stepson, William H. McLean Jr., both of Wallace, N.C.; her mother, Rachel Lea Fussell Scott of Franklin; a sister, Virginia C. Scott of Richmond; a brother, Ritchie V. Scott of Franklin; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, Carroll Vernon Scott.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Ray Craig. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and suggest memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 116 Southampton Road, Franklin, Va. 23851.
