EULEAN LOONEY

Eulean Looney, 56, of the 1300 block of Jennifer St., a retired CPO, died July 14, 1994, in Norfolk.

Mr. Looney was born in Belcher, Ky. He retired from the Navy in 1975 after 21 years and was currently employed as a boiler technician with civil service at NOB. He was past post commander of American Legion Post (NU)327 and a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam era.

Survivors include his wife, Michiyo Looney; a daughter, Miwa Looney of Norfolk; his mother, Onie C. Looney of Belcher, Ky.; six sisters, Betty Thacker of Columbus, Ga., Lucille Coleman and Adrienne Swiney, both of Draffin, Ky., Jewelene Adams, Barbara Bartley and Shelma Adkins, all of Elkhorn City, Ky.; and four brothers, Billy Looney of Oklahoma City, Okla., James Looney of Elkhorn City, Ky., Ron Keith Looney of Raccoon, Ky., and Van Ratliff of Belcher, Ky.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. John D. Sykes Sr. Burial will be private at a later date with full military honors. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
