Juna M. Gowdy, 89, formerly of Cotton Place in Cradock, died July 15, 1994, in Portsmouth.
She was a native of West Virginia and a member of Cradock Presbyterian Church. She was the widow of Forest DeWitt Gowdy and was predeceased by one son, Portsmouth Police Sgt. Forrest H. Gowdy.
Survivors include two sisters, Josephine Ducharm of Nevada and Genoa Siers of Ohio; four grandchildren, Marcia Musselwhite, Catherine Nisbet, David Gowdy and Karen Arban; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cradock Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Richard W. Lovingood. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Contributions may be made to the Cradock Presbyterian Church Choir Robe Fund.
