The Coast Guard cutter Tampa rescued 2,456 Haitians from 60 overloaded vessels during its seven-week patrol off Haiti. A picture caption Friday in The Virginian-Pilot MetroNews section about the return of the Tampa to Portsmouth on Thursday incorrectly reported the number of Haitians rescued.
Lynn Scarcelli, co-founder of PETS 4 YOU, an animal referral and adoption service, is a receptionist at a veterinary hospital in Norfolk. Her occupation was incorrectly listed in a MetroNews column Friday.
