Battered by competition from low-fare airlines and autos, Greyhound Lines Inc. said it will shrink into a smaller, regionally focused bus company. The company said it will concentrate on trips of 100 to 400 miles, primarily in Texas, the South, Northeast, industrial Midwest and Southern California - areas where the company can compete profitably. Reflecting the changes, the company said it will report a net loss of about $45 million in the March-June quarter. by CNB
