JAMES THOMAS

James Thomas, 76, of the 5500 block of Bingham Drive, a retired machine operator, died July 14, 1994, in Maryview Hospital.

Mr. Thomas was born in Norfolk County. He retired from Virginia Chemical Inc. after 37 years and was a member of Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nettie Thomas; five daughters, Margie Ingram, Bernice Cox, Barbara Marrow, Magdalene Frances and Audrey Thomas; two sons, James Thomas Jr. and Junius Lee Thomas; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Melvin O. Marriner Sr. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will be at the residence. The body will be in the church at 1:30 p.m. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
