M. Catherine Coley, 65, of the 3800 block of Pughsville Road, went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 1994.
She was a native of Northampton County, Va., and was president-owner of Riverside Monument Co., Inc. She was a member of Nansemond River Baptist Church, Suffolk and its Adult Choir. She was the widow of Herschel JB Coley.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah A. Barker, and two sons, Raymond JB Coley and Donavon Carson Coley, all of Suffolk; a sister, Elizabeth E. Ard of Poquoson, Va.; a brother, James D. Ewell of Quinby, Va.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at Nansemond River Baptist Church by the Rev. Tim Piland. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 2704 Windjammer Road, Suffolk. Memorial donations may be made to Nansemond River Baptist Church Building Fund. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, is handling arrangements.
