``Sandy'' C.R. Becker, 65, of the 2600 block of Blueberry Bank, a retired contractor specialist, died July 15, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Becker was born in Syracuse, N.Y. He retired from NRHA (Norfolk Redevelopment Housing Authority) after 20 years, was a member of Community Congregational Church in Chesapeake and a Navy veteran (12 years).
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Shackelford Becker (wife of 48 years); three daughters, Sandy Fruit of Virginia Beach, Tracie P. James of Chesapeake and Tina S. Holt of Estes Park, Colo.; two sons, Frederick B. Becker and Scott D. Becker, both of Chesapeake; a brother, Raymond Becker of Port Richey, Fla.; four granddaughters; and seven grandsons.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Rosewood Memorial Park by Pastor Lowell Dodson (co-workers from NRHA will serve as pallbearers). Friends may join the family at Kellum Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Pleasant Hall, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and following the service on Tuesday at 1120 Fairway Drive, Chesapeake.
