Robert F. James, 70, of the 1000 block of Ducking Pt. Trail, died July 15, 1994, in Portsmouth.
Mr. James was born in Glendive, Mont. He was a retired Navy/Marine consultant and vice-president of Nautilus Enviromedicals. He was a Navy lieutenant commander, World War II, Korea and Vietnam and served as the commanding officer USS Kittiwake, ASR 13. He was a 32nd-degree Mason, Union Lodge AF & AM, New London, Conn., and member of the Association of Diving Contractors. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Macie V. James; a son, Bobby James of Virginia Beach; and a sister, Lois Brannan of Asotin, Wash.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hope Lutheran Church by Pastor Paul Kettner. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday.
