Horace Sharp, Jr., 39, of the 200 block of South Lloyd St., died July 15, 1994, in Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Sharp was a native of Suffolk. He was a member of Mt. Nebo R.U.Z.A. Church, Portsmouth. He was affiliated with Ebenezer Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, and a choir member. He was a member of Virginia Beach Interdenominational Choir.
Survivors include his father, Horace Sharp, Sr., and mother, Frances Sharp Colander, both of Suffolk; four sisters, Mary Sharp of San Antonio, Texas, Vivian Sharp of Suffolk, Beverly Beasley of Newport News and Laurie Sharp-Aalfs of Anderson, S.C.; a brother, Kenneth Sharp of Norfolk; a half brother, Alexander Sharp of Suffolk; eight uncles; six aunts; two nephews; and a niece.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Nebo R.U.Z.A. Church by the Rev. David Allen. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will be at 212 Lloyd St., Suffolk. The body will be placed in the church at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
