Chesapeake General Hospital elected Dr. John E. Lee president of its medical staff for the 1994-95 year, and appointed James L. Beverly older-adult mental-health program administrator.
Lee, an obstetrician and gynecologist, has been on the staff at the hospital for eight years. Beverly had been project manager with Lake Haven Center in Paris, Tenn.
LAW
Mary Margaret Callahan Lyons was appointed an associate with the law firm of Taylor & Walker in Norfolk. Lyons has been an assistant commonwealth's attorney with the city of Alexandria for five years.
Steven Scheiner was appointed an investigator with the law firm of Rabinowitz, Rafal, Swartz, Taliaferro and Gilbert in Norfolk. He will handle civil and criminal investigations. Scheiner retired after 23 years of service with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
MEDIA
Landmark Communications Inc. in Norfolk appointed Connie M. Sage director of corporate communications.
Sage has been a reporter and editor in her 16-year tenure at The Virginian-Pilot and The Ledger-Star. She most recently was director of staff development and training for the newspapers.
Landmark owns and operates The Weather Channel, The Travel Channel, eight daily newspapers, 31 non-daily newspapers, CBS-affiliated TV stations in Nashville and Las Vegas, and several other concerns.
Also, Landmark Information Services, a division of Landmark, appointed Christina Bublick Inter-net/Infinet employment advertising manager. Bublick had been real estate sales manager.
Ken Leese replaces Bublick as real estate sales manager. Leese had been field sales manager for the Beacon, a community news section for The Virginian-Pilot and The Ledger-Star's Virginia Beach readers.
LaDonna J. Wade was appointed human resources director with The Daily Press Inc. in Newport News. Wade had been director of personnel for the city of Suffolk. The newspaper is owned by the Tribune Co. in Chicago.
MANUFACTURING
G. Randall Stickley was appointed vice president of finance with Hermes Abrasives Ltd. in Virginia Beach. Stickley joined the manufacturer of coated abrasive products last year as financial controller.
William E. Whittington was promoted from division manager to vice president with Minton & Roberson Inc. in Chesapeake. Whittington has been with the sheet-metal fabricator since 1976.
REAL ESTATE
Wood Belcher was named assistant vice president for retail with Goodman Segar Hogan Hoffler in Norfolk. Belcher joined the commercial real estate company in 1993 as a senior retail leasing associate.
Janet Conrad was named vice president of operations with Lat Purser & Associates Inc. in Virginia Beach. She has overseen the management leasing portfolio and represented brokerage acquisition and development since April. Conrad had been assistant vice president of retail services with Goodman Segar Hogan Hoffler.
Sandra L. Jones was promoted from administrator of the apartment division to vice president of apartment operations with The Breeden Cos. in Virginia Beach. She will direct the leasing, marketing, plant operations and overall management of apartments. MEMO: Executive Track reports upper-level executive and management changes.
