William Douglas Shackelford III, 43, of the 1700 block of Grove Court, died July 17, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mr. Shackelford was born in Gloucester, Va. He had retired from the Civil Service.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine G. Shackelford of Norfolk; a daughter, Courtney Anne Shackelford of Virginia Beach; a son, William Morgan of Norfolk; his father, William Shackelford Jr. of Gloucester Point, Va.; a sister, Dolores Shackelford of Gloucester, Va.; and a brother, Stanley Shackelford of Williamsburg.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Amy Daniels. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters.
