Miss Mildred Greenwood Emmons, age 65, died Saturday, July 16, 1994, in Atlanta. She was born in Boykins. She was daughter of the late Willard R. and Mabel Reese Emmons of Boykins. She was a graduate of Mary Washington College, and received her master's degree at Emory University, Atlanta. She retired as a librarian at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. She had formerly worked in the library departments of Duke University and the University of Louisville.
She is survived by a sister, Ann E. Emmons of Richmond and numerous other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held in Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel, on Tuesday, July 19, 1994, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. Memorial donations may be made to the Boykins Baptist Church. The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends an hour before the service on Tuesday.
