Willie Mae Robertson Caldwell, 73, of the 700 block of W. 28th St., died July 15, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mrs. Caldwell was born in Norfolk and was a member of Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church, Senior Choir and Steward Board. She was a Sunday school teacher, secretary and treasurer of Senior Usher Board (NU)1 and taught Bible school. She was a former schoolteacher in Charlottesville, Va., a homemaker, and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. She was the widow of Johnnie R. Caldwell Sr.
Survivors include three daughters, Elaine Fennell, Cynthia Caldwell and Helena Winters, all of Norfolk; six sons, Nathaniel Caldwell of Phoenix, Ariz., Johnnie Caldwell Jr., Erskine Caldwell, Robert Caldwell and Michael Caldwell, all of Norfolk, and Sidney Caldwell of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Dorothy Moore of Orlando, Fla., and Helen Bagby of Norfolk; a brother, Jason Robertson Jr. of Norfolk; and 11 grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Willie Mae Carter Robertson and Jason Robertson Sr.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday at Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church, 1710 Springfield Ave., by the Rev. Richard A. Councill. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
