STEVEN R. ATKINS

Steven R. Atkins, 34, of the 1100 block of Culpepper St., a security officer, died July 15, 1994, in Norfolk.

Mr. Atkins was born in Norfolk. He was employed with the Virginia Beach School System. He was a member of New Hope United Church of Christ and was an Army veteran of the peace-time service. He was the son of the late Moses Atkins Sr. and Mrs. Martha Atkins of Norfolk.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Martha A. Atkins of Norfolk; one brother, Moses Atkins Jr. of Portsmouth; one sister, Brenda Atkins Holloway of Virginia Beach; a brother-in-law, James Holloway Jr. of Virginia Beach; seven aunts, four uncles and a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in New Hope United Church of Christ, 145 E. Liberty St., by the Rev. James W. Anderson. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. A family wake will be held in Fitchett Funeral Home Chapel today from 7 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends at the Berkley Neighborhood Center on S. Main St., following the interment.
