Effie Cox Harlow, 84, of the 3900 block of Davis St., died July 17, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Harlow was born in Elizabeth City, N.C., and was the widow of Raymond L. Harlow. She was a member of Greenbrier Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Anne H. Council of Chesapeake; one son, Albert R. Harlow of Norfolk; one sister, Shirley C. Lane of Chesapeake; grandchildren, Shirley H. Forbes and Steven L. Hendricks, both of Chesapeake, Albert Harlow Jr. of Norfolk, and Chavis Harlow of Charleston, S.C.; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the the Rev. Mitchell Harrison of Greenbrier Baptist Church, the Rev. Paul D. Moore, Pastor Emeritus of Woodland Heights Baptist Church, and the Rev. Willis Dowling of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at the home of Anne Council, 3011 Curling Court, at all other times.
