Joy A. Singleton, 66, of the 3200 block of White Cedar Drive, died Monday in a Chesapeake nursing home.
Ms. Singleton was born in Aflax, Ky., and was the daughter of the late Lloyd B. and Hazel Barrett Singleton. She had retired as a cashier from Kmart in Norfolk.
Survivors include her two daughters, Anna Berloni of Chandler, Ariz., and Sheri Miller of Chesapeake; one sister, Juanita Cowling of Virginia Beach; one brother, Lloyd Singleton of Sedley, Va.; and three grandsons, Brian Miller, Gerald Miller III and Joshua Duffy.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Tom Mercer. The family will receive friends at Oman Family Funeral Home, Great Bridge, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and at 1405 Maharis Road, Virginia Beach, immediately following the committal service. Memorial donations may be made to Lee's Friends, 618 Stockley Gardens, Norfolk.
