James Earl Gregory of the 2300 block of Barraud Ave., a retired longshoreman, died July 18, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mr. Gregory was born in Harrellsville, N.C., and was the widower of Rosa Lee Gregory. He was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church. He was retired from International Longshoreman's Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary F. Griffin of Norfolk; a sister, Mary Wayne of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; a stepson, Robert Jaudon of Chesapeake; a stepgranddaughter, Jacqueline Jaudon of the U.S. Army; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in New Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. G.G. Campbell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be taken to church at 10 a.m. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
