Virginia Power customers can pay bills or make service deposits at seven local payment centers now that the company's Suffolk business office on Main Street has closed.
The utility closed the office July 15 in order to consolidate its Suffolk and Portsmouth District operations at its new Chuckatuck District headquarters.
Most of the new payment centers are in retail establishments. Several have extended hours, and some accept payments seven days a week.
Customers may make full or partial payments or bill overpayments. In order to pay electric bills at these locations, customers must bring their Virginia Power bill.

Be-Lo Food Store Number 121, 813 W. Constance Road;
Be-Lo Food Store Number 122, 569 E. Constance Road.
