SUFFOLK CRIME REPORT

The crimes listed below were reported to the Suffolk Police Department. Because they are initial reports, they are allegations only, and may or may not have resulted in criminal charges.

DISTRICT A

Vandalism: Wise and Donald streets, July 7, someone broke the windows on two Caterpillar loaders, a John Deere loader and a Ford dump truck.

Vandalism: 2800 block North Shore Drive, July 7, a man reported that someone damaged his mailbox.

Vandalism: 4400 block Clifton Street, July 9, someone broke four windows on two excavators.

Petty Larceny: 5600 block Frank Street, July 9, someone took an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Assault and Battery: 4300 block Crowdy Boulevard, July 9, a woman reported an assault.

Felonious Assault: 2800 block Colonial Drive, July 10, a man reported an assault with a slate shingle.

Abduction: 600 block College Drive, July 11, while checking the tires on her vehicle, a woman was abducted by three men.

Shooting at an Occupied Dwelling: 5600 block Plummer Boulevard, July 11, a suspect driving a Honda fired four rounds into a man's apartment.

Petty Larceny: 2700 block South Nansemond Drive, July 11, someone took a Nokia 100 cellular phone from a vehicle.

Possession of Marijuana: College Drive and G.E. Plant, July 11, police found a substance believed to be marijuana during a search.

Throwing Missiles at a Motor Vehicle: Town Point Road and Miles Avenue, July 13, a man reported that two juveniles threw rocks at a Caterpillar front loader, breaking the windshield.

DISTRICT B

Lost or Stolen City Decal: 5600 block Godwin Boulevard, July 7, a man reported that he misplaced his city decal.

Petty Larceny: 6000 block Godwin Boulevard, July 8, someone pumped $5 worth of gas without paying.

Malicious Wounding: 100 block Ashford Drive, July 9, a woman reported that a suspect assaulted her son.

Shed Breaking and Entering Portsmouth Boulevard, July 10, someone broke the lock on a shed and damaged a soda vending machine.

Hit and Run: Truck Scales and Portsmouth Boulevard, July 10, a suspect driving a 1990 Jeep Cherokee struck a portable barricade.

Vandalism: 5500 block Godwin Boulevard, July 11, someone broke a classroom window at Oakland Elementary School.

Vandalism: 5900 block Godwin Boulevard, July 11, someone caused $100 damage to the Chuckatuck ball field with a bicycle or dirt bike and damaged a Virginia Power meter box.

Business Breaking and Entering: 4600 block Girl Scout Road, July 13, someone broke a window with a cinder block.

Petty Larceny: QVC Drive, July 13, someone took a license plate from a vehicle.

DISTRICT C

Throwing Missile at Occupied Dwelling: 400 block Linden Avenue, July 7, a woman reported that someone threw a brick through a bedroom window.

Lost or Stolen City Decal: 900 block Brook Avenue, July 7, a woman reported that she misplaced her city decal.

Petty Larceny: 1200 block North Main Street, July 7, a man reported that someone took both 1996 stickers from his license plates.

Grand Larceny: 200 block St. James Avenue, July 7, someone took several items valued at $7,149 from a home while the complainant was in the hospital.

Vandalism: 300 block North Main Street, July 8, a man reported that someone broke the windshields of a 1994 Chevrolet truck and a 1987 Ford truck.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 300 block North Main Street, July 6, someone took a Westinghouse air conditioner and a copy machine.

Unlawful Concealment: Wal-Mart, July 8, a suspect concealed baseball and basketball cards in his pants.

Unlawful Concealment: Wal-Mart, July 8, a juvenile concealed a Genie Video Enhancer in his pants.

Petty Larceny: 800 block West Constance Boulevard, July 8, someone pumped $14.91 worth of gas without paying.

Business Breaking and Entering: 900 block North Main Street, July 8, three suspects entered a business and took a Motorola DPC 550 cellular phone valued at $129, eight Motorola Bravo pagers valued at $560, a display model Motorola DPC 550 cellular phone valued at $60 and a display model Motorola Micro TAC alpha classic cellular phone valued at $60.

Hit and Run Property Damage: Mason Avenue and St. James Avenue, July 8, a man reported that his car was struck by another vehicle.

Hit and Run Personal Injury: Mason Avenue and St. James Avenue, July 8, a woman reported that her car was struck by another vehicle.

Vandalism: 900 block North Main Street, July 9, someone broke a window.

Lost or Stolen Wallet: 100 block Maury Place, July 9, a woman reported that she lost her wallet.

Grand Larceny: 600 block Ashley Avenue, July 9, someone took a ladies' beach cruiser bicycle.

Business Breaking and Entering: 300 block West Constance Road, July 9, someone took $1,000 in checks and $775 in cash.

Felonious Assault: Obici Hospital, July 9, a man reported he was cut on the leg with a tool during an argument.

Hit and Run: 600 block North Main Street, July 6, a woman reported that someone struck her vehicle, causing $500 damage.

Petty Larceny: 200 block West Constance Road, July 10, someone took $20 in cash from a purse.

Petty Larceny: 200 block West Constance Road, July 10, someone took $50 worth of food stamps from a purse.

Vandalism: 500 block West Washington Street, July 10, a juvenile broke the plastic cover on a soda machine with a hammer, causing $300 damage.

Vandalism: 800 block West Constance Road, July 10, someone broke a wooden fence.

Petty Larceny: 800 block West Washington Street, July 10, someone pumped $6 worth of gas without paying.

Felony Vandalism: 300 block North Main Street, July 10, someone caused $1,600 in damage to various vehicles belonging to Leggett's Seafood.

Hit and Run: 1000 block Pitchkettle Road, July 10, a man reported that someone struck his mailbox.

Business Breaking and Entering: 1800 block Pitchkettle Road, July 13, someone took $50 in cash from a cash register and cigarettes valued at $50.

Business Breaking and Entering: 300 block West Constance Road, July 13, someone stole $575 in cash.

Petty Larceny: 1400 block North Main Street, July 13, a suspect took a pants suit valued at $22 and a dress valued at $16.

DISTRICT D

Armed Robbery: Davis Boulevard, July 7, a man reported that he was approached by four male suspects, saw a knife and was struck in the head.

Grand Larceny: 300 block Carolina Road, July 7, a man reported that someone took an Alpine AM/FM cassette car stereo from his vehicle.

Grand Larceny: 300 block Moore Avenue, July 7, a man reported that someone stole 12 cases of Lipton Instant Tea.

Grand Larceny: 2500 block East Washington, July 7, a woman reported that someone took a 16-inch black and pink Murray BMX bicycle valued at $200.

Grand Larceny: 200 block North Fourth Street, July 7, a woman reported that someone took an air conditioner from her home.

Petty Larceny: 200 block North Capitol Street, July 7, someone took a green and beige Plato fishing and tackle box.

Larceny of Firearm: Park on Blythewood Lane, July 7, someone took a 9mm FN Browning 13-shot semiautomatic pistol from a truck.

Business Breaking and Entering: 1300 block Portsmouth Blvd., July 7, a man reported that someone took a Kawasaki engine.

Petty Larceny: 800 block West Constance Road, July 8, someone took an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Petty Larceny: 300 block Carolina Road, July 8, someone took two 18-inch gold necklaces, a gold bracelet, a gold ring, a $2 bill and a CB antenna.

Petty Larceny: 200 block Grace Street, July 7, someone took plants valued at $60.

Hit and Run Property Damage: 100 block Dill Road, July 8, a Chevrolet pickup truck struck a C&P telephone box.

Felonious Assault: 300 block East Washington Street, July 9, a man reported that a suspect pointed a gun at him during an altercation and then struck him in the head with the gun.

Armed Robbery: North Lloyd Street and East Washington Street, July 9, while talking on a pay phone, a man was approached by two suspects, one with a gun. One of the suspects searched the victim's pocket and took a green Motorola pager and $70 in cash.

Petty Larceny: 1500 block East Washington Street, July 9, someone took an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Hit and Run: 600 block East Washington Street, July 9, a woman reported that someone hit her vehicle, causing $250 damage.

Hit and Run Property Damage: 200 block Holladay Street, July 10, a man reported that his vehicle was struck by a dark Oldsmobile.

Petty Larceny: 600 block East Washington Street, July 10, a suspect concealed a 22-ounce Schlitz beer under his shirt.

Petty Larceny: 600 block East Washington Street, July 10, someone took an STP fuel injector cleaner valued at $5.39.

Grand Larceny: 400 block Elizabeth Street, July 11, someone took a tan dog valued at $45.

Grand Larceny: 100 block South Fourth Street, July 11, someone took a living room set valued at $100, a washer valued at $25, a gas stove valued at $150 and a broken microwave.

Vandalism: 1000 block Custis Road, July 11, someone damaged a mailbox.

Petty Larceny: 1100 block East Washington Street, July 11, someone took an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Petty Larceny: 500 block East Constance Road, July 11, someone took $74.74 worth of steaks and ground chuck.

Grand Larceny: 1000 block Truman Road, July 11, a woman reported that someone took a 1994 Dodge Shadow from her side yard. The vehicle was recovered on Cedar Street.

Vandalism: 200 block Walnut Street, July 13, someone broke a cafeteria and classroom window.

Petty Larceny: 100 block North Fourth Street, July 13, someone took two tires and two rims from a 10-speed bicycle.

Lost or Stolen Check: 2200 block East Washington Street, July 13, a man reported that he has not received his Social Services check.

Felonious Assault: 200 block Columbus Avenue, July 13, a man reported that he was stabbed in the shoulder and head during an altercation.

Petty Larceny: 200 block North Fourth Street, July 13, someone took an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

DISTRICT E

Hit and Run Personal Injury: 1500 block Holland Road, July 8, a suspect was arrested after the vehicle he was driving went out of control and struck a ditch, injuring a passenger.

Petty Larceny: 3200 block Deer Path Road, July 8, a man reported that someone took an Advance Auto battery from a truck.

Attempting to Possess Cocaine: 6000 block Peanut Drive, July 8, a suspect was charged with attempting to buy cocaine from an undercover police officer.

Petty Larceny: Whaleyville Boulevard, July 9, a suspect took cash from a purse.

Destruction of City Property: Holland Road and Grove Street, July 10, a suspect struck a dashboard with the heel of her shoe.

Grand Larceny: 200 block Kenyon Road, July 11, someone took a mortar mixer valued at $2,500.

Grand Larceny: 800 block West Constance Road, July 11, someone took a car dolly.

Petty Larceny: 1100 block Carolina Road, July 7, someone pumped $5 worth of gas without paying.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 1700 block Whaleyville Boulevard, July 6, a woman reported that someone entered her home and used her telephone to make $122 worth of phone calls.

Possession of Cocaine: 6000 block Peanut Drive, July 8, police found three suspected crack cocaine smoking devices during a search.

Attempting to Possess Cocaine: 6000 block Peanut Drive, July 8, a suspect attempted to purchase cocaine from an undercover police officer.

Petty Larceny: Whaleyville Boulevard, July 9, someone took cash from a purse.

Grand Larceny Auto: 1800 block White Marsh Road, July 9, someone took a 1971 Cadillac valued at $1,500.

Assault and Battery: 300 block Babbtown Road, July 9, a woman reported that a suspect slapped her face and twisted her foot.
